PRESS RELEASE:
LIBERTYVILLE, March 9, 2007 – Developer JTEH, LLC broke ground in December for Manchester Square of Libertyville, a major retail/condominium development at the southwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Lake Street, to feature four restaurants and 14 luxury condominiums.
The project, approved by the Libertyville Village Board in September, will replace buildings vacant since 2003. Manchester Square of Libertyville will have the look and feel of Victorian era.
The building will have frontage along both Milwaukee Avenue and Lake street, a cupola at the corner and a façade to make it appear like four separate structures built at different times -from 1910 to 1930. Four restaurants will occupy the ground floor, while 14 luxury condominiums will be built on floors two and three.
In December excavators removed a small structure on the property. A construction of an underground parking garage is scheduled to begin in April of 2007. When the project is completed, there will be approximately 21,000 square feet of retail space to be shared among the four restaurants, and valet parking will be established in a designated turnaround area.
In the spring, removal of an office building on the property’s back lot will make way for construction of the condominiums, which ranges in floor plan size from 2,200 to 5,100 square feet, each with underground parking. Early purchase of the condominiums will allow buyers to custom design their living space with the developer.
Other local projects completed by the developer include the Sunset Foods Plaza at Butterfield and Peterson Roads in Libertyville and Lake Center Place in downtown Grayslake.
